After many years of experience in women’s wellness, I feel honored supporting birthing & postpartum families as a Doula.

 my story

Before becoming a professionally trained doula, I spent 15 years working in women’s health clinics and in private practice in clinical and surgical support roles and as a health educator/patient advocate, in addition to volunteering in leadership positions with several non-profit organizations. Now that I have raised my own kids while working full time, I am enjoying the freedom to commit to a full time 24/hr on call Doula schedule, confidently supporting families beginning to build their own foundations.

As a parent, I became aware early on about the importance of building your village of support, starting during pregnancy (or in pre-adoption/birth phases) throughout their life! Along the way, through raising my own kids and supporting patients and friends in their parenting adventures, I became passionate about the importance of providing unbiased information, calm, and non judgmental support during periods of family growth and change. Building community to mentor you, listen to your concerns, provide a shoulder for your tears, or join you in some good laughs is imperative!

my FAMILY

I am endlessly proud of my adult kids Isabella and Nick. They are strong, intelligent, ridiculously funny, with boundless kindness and humility. We are very close, and although I miss the days of giggling little people running throughout the house, I’m really enjoying this phase of our relationship. They inspire me and make me laugh everyday. Thank goodness for FaceTime and good travel apps!

One of the most exciting aspects of my life recently has been the birth of my Godson, Luka. Luka brings so much love, humor, immense and surprising vocabulary, and unending energy to my life.

I am also Mother to a very spoiled dog named Manny Owen.
